Mable Steward Brannon, age 94, of Petit Jean Mountain, Arkansas, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018. She was born July 20, 1923 in Havana, Arkansas, a daughter of Fenner William Steward and Ella Ritchie Steward. She was the widow of Roy B. Brannon. Mable worked for the Museum of Automobiles as a receptionist for 42 years, retiring at age 86 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Petit Jean Mountain.
She is survived by her son, Lee (Vicki) Brannon of Morrilton; daughter, Phyliss Phelps of Little Rock; siblings, Betty (Gordon) Burr of Hot Springs and Fenner (Carolyn) Steward of Springdale; four grandsons, Joey and Michael Phelps of Little Rock, Bryan Brannon of Conway, and Brett Brannon of Morrilton; and seven great grandchildren. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Montgomery and Helen Tilley and brothers, Bill Steward and Joe Steward.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at First Baptist Church of Petit Jean Mountain with Bro. Bill Scroggs and Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be at Petit Jean Mountain Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Petit Jean Mountain.
