Jimmy Carl Hester, age 79, of Perryville, Arkansas, passed away, Thursday, April 12, 2018. He was born March 21, 1939 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, a son of the late O.F. "Frenchy" Hester and Bettye Zoe Markham Hester. He was a retired Little Rock Police Officer, Perry County Sheriff, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Sheila (Greg) Jeffries of Conway; grandchildren, Kristin (Karen) Jetts of Morrilton; Joshua Jeffries of Conway; great grandchildren, Ellie Jetts of Morrilton; brothers and sisters, Robert (Jerry) Hester, Kenneth (Donna) Hester, and Carolyn Kidd all of Perryville and a host of nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bettye Albright.
Funeral services will be10:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, at Immanuel Church of Nazarene. Burial will be at Thornburg Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home in Morrilton. Memorials may be made in his name to: Arkansas C.O.P.S. P.O. Box 13036 Maumelle, Arkansas 72113.
